- DAIRY CALVES rest in a holding area at Forest Grove Farm, Middlebury in this Goshen News file photo from March 2010. Agents from The Federal Drug Administration want to inspect the farm, owned by Amishman David Hochstetler, in wake of an illness outbreak in Michigan. FDA agents believe the outbreak was caused by raw milk produced and shipped from Hochstetler’s farm. Elkhart County Sheriff Brad Rogers told the agents they need a court order before they will be allowed on the property.ROGER SCHNEIDER

THINNED MILK 1% 2% & SKIM FATTENS SCAMS AND SICKENS CONSUMERS
Posted on May 18, 2011 SOURCE: Journal of Natural Food and Health
FOOD . WATER . AIR . LAND . HEALTH
"Finally, truth of the low-fat and non-fat dairy con is going mainstream. The skim milk is more associated to weight gain than whole, full-fat milk and this article tells why. Added to skim milk is powdered milk solids which are high in dangerous oxidized cholesterol and forms arterial plaque."
"...health problems of nearly all milk on the market is caused by the nutrient-depleting pasteurization and the protein-fracturing homogenization process–not to mention genetically-modified growth hormones and artificial vitamin D. Consumers are being milked and skimmed in more ways than one."
"This article Paul John Scott on CNN today Is Skim Milk Making You Fat? first appeared in Details Magazine last month. (It now appears CNN has removed the story)"
"In 2003, the Cochrane Collaboration, a respected source for unbiased reviews of research, compared low-fat diets with low-calorie diets and found that “fat-restricted diets are no better than calorie-restricted diets in achieving long-term weight loss.” As Walt Willet of the Harvard School of Public Health wrote in the American Journal of Medicine, “Diets high in fat do not appear to be the primary cause of the high prevalence of excess body fat in our society, and reductions in fat will not be a solution.”"

THE TYPE OF VITAMIN 'D' USED TO RE-FORTIFY PASTEURIZED MILK IS INFERIOR TO THE NATURAL D3 THAT OUR BODIES NEED
THERE ARE STEPS THAT YOU CAN TAKE TO GIVE YOUR BODY THE D3 IT NEEDS
Animal Sources of Vitamin D3 | ||
---|---|---|
Source | Serving | IU's |
Salmon | 3 oz | 300 |
Mackerel | 3 oz | 290 |
Sardines | 2 oz | 285 |
Tuna | 3 oz | 200 |
Egg yolk | 1 yolk | 20 |
Liver (beef) | 3 oz | 13 |
Milk | 1 cup | 12 |
Cheese | 1 oz | 12 |
Cod liver oil | 1 tsp | 500 |
These days, because of the pollution of our oceans (PCBs and heavy metals), we need to be careful where our fish is caught.
The total vitamin D intake from food is probably less than 200 IU for the average person."

PURE RAW MILK - THE FACTS
Raw milk - never has been pasteurized - never has been homogenized
There are nutritional benefits contained in raw milk that cannot be duplicated or improved upon. And, it is safe to drink if it is handled properly.
Raw milk: Pasteurization not required
In Europe
French Roquefort, a famous blue cheese, which is required by European law to be made from raw sheep's milk.According to the regulations in the European Union all raw milk products are legal and considered safe for human consumption, and can be sold without any price, variety or quantity restrictions. However, the European countries are free to add certain requirements, usually special sanitary regulations and frequent quality tests (at least once per month) are mandatory.
France
Raw milk and especially raw milk cheeses are considered the standard for high quality dairy products. Many French cuisine traditionalists consider pasteurized cheeses almost a sacrilege. Many traditional French cheeses have solely been made from raw milk for hundreds of years.
United Kingdom
A bottle of green-top milkDistribution of raw milk is illegal in Scotland. While it is legal in England, Wales, and Northern Ireland, the only registered producers are in England.[13] About 200 producers sell raw, or "green top" milk direct to consumers, either at the farm, at a Farmers' market, or through a delivery service. The bottle must display the warning "this product has not been heat-treated and may contain organisms harmful to health", and the dairy must conform to higher hygiene standards than dairies producing only pasteurised milk.
As it is only legal to supply unpasteurised milk direct to consumers, it is illegal to be sold on the High Street, via shops or supermarkets.
