PEPSI & HUMAN EMBRYONIC CELLS

These are NOT bubbles in your Pepsi?
"Human Embryonic Kidney 293 cells, also often referred to as HEK 293293 cells, or less precisely as HEK cells are a specific cell line originally derived from human embryonic kidney cells grown in tissue culture. HEK 293 cells are very easy to grow and transfect very readily and have been widely-used in cell biology research for many years. They are also used by the biotechnology industry to produce therapeutic proteins and viruses for gene therapy." Source: Wikipedia

SO... WHAT DOES THIS HAVE TO DO WITH PEPSI???

"A story in Life Site News stats that a bio-medical firm has removed from their websites, their partners in using HEK-293 (human embryo kidney cells in their R&D department for flavorings added to soft drinks.
Their partner is Pepsi Company amongst others who’s names are hidden from the public.
The backlash from Pro-Life groups has produced this response from Pepsi:
” with respect to the flavor discovery research with Senomyx, we utilize techniques that have been the gold standard for several decades”.
Therefore, consumers have been drinking human embryo kidney cells (usually derived from human fetuses) for the past 20 or 30 or more years and didn’t even know it?
It does seem to unlikely that actual human tissue is contained in food or beverage products in order to produce some sort of weird human wired desire to consume more. Who would even conceive that such a cannibalistic marketing ploy would find a market.

( Then again, didn't the Chinese government just have some sort of world-wide crackdown on selling pills containing powered human remains as an aphrodisiac? Sickening foetus trade: South Korea orders crackdown on human flesh capsules 'made from dead babies' smuggled in from China

Grisly business: Smuggled capsules are said to have been sent into South Korea from China
A sickening trade in Chinese-made capsules filled with powdered human flesh has pushed South Korea into upping its custom inspections efforts.
The state-run Korea Customs Service has reported that it has encountered 35 attempts to sneak around 17,450 capsules into the country since last August, with the pills disguised as stamina boosters.
The grim deliveries are said to have been carried in luggage or sent by international mail.
Customs officials said the tablets were made from dead babies and infants in north eastern China and that ethnic Koreans living there were responsible for the smuggling attempts.
It has been reported by the KCS that the horrific process involves the bodies being chopped into small pieces and then dried on stoves or in medical drying microwaves before being turned into powder.

Horrific process: Tablets are thought to be a 'cure all' remedy

According to a report by the San Francisco Times, tests carried out on the pills confirmed the capsules were found to be 99.7% made up of human remains.
The officials explained that some people believe the capsules are a universal remedy for disease.
However, an investigation revealed that the capsules contain super bugs among other harmful components. No illnesses have been reported from swallowing the capsules.
Chinese officials ordered an investigation into the production of drugs made from dead foetuses or newborns last year.

There's plenty of actual bad things happening regarding food that you don't have to give credence to conspiracy theories.

  2. The Pro-Life movement has grossly misreprented the facts. Many medicines use cell lines originally taken from an aborted fetus kidney in the early 1970's. Since then, the HEK 293 cells are manufactured in the lab. Accusing drug and food manufactures of using aborted fetuses in their respective products is akin to blaming bad child behaviour on the child's great-grand parents dna.

  3. The well concealed facts do indict HEK 293 as being a line of research based upon the cell line of an aborted person.
Ocean Spray, Tropicana, Gatorade also on list of products using aborted fetal cell lines - there is a full page list of other product lines. http://www.lifesitenews.com/blog/ocean-spray-tropicana-gatorade-also-on-list-of-products-using-aborted-fetal - "From Nestlé :Hi Tamra - We respect the sensitivities associated with the use of human cell lines for research. We no longer have a research collaboration with Senomyx.

From Kraft Foods: Hello Tamra - Our collaboration with Senomyx came to an end on December 27th, 2011. However our Research, Development & Quality team continues innovating, using insights and technology to delight our consumers. We hope this addresses your concerns.~Jackie"

"Gramma, if you further look into this specific cell line, this baby who's cell line is used, was a second trimester baby. The baby was most likely delivered. It is also from Holland. The laws are much more lenient there. This is also a stem line that was taken in the 60's/70's I believe before "selling" parts was made illegal. But on that note, the selling of parts is still alive (no pun) and prosperous. These baby parts are now being either "rented" or "donated" to science. They way this is possible is because it is not being labeled as "for sale"."
